Ep 136 A Legacy of 70 Years: What I’ve Learned So Far

I haven't learned all there is to know. But I do know a few things. At least 70. Some are serious, some are funny, some are seriously funny. But what counts is that I've attempted to live a life that counts, and God promises favor, purpose, guidance, and tons of mercy and grace. And, wisdom, when we ask.

The most important thing I've learned goes back to early Sunday School: Jesus loves me, this I know. For the Bible tells me so. Paul thought that pretty important too, as he prayed that he and his friends could understand just how great God's love is. So I pray the same, for me and for those I love. You can never go wrong with the Word or one of Paul's prayers. That's not on my 70 Things list. I may need to begin a list for the next decade.

Pray along with Paul and me—we'll be pals in heaven—you too, I hope:

And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, 18 may have power, together with all the Lord’s holy people, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, 19 and to know this love that surpasses knowledge—that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God" (Ephesians 3:17-19)NIV.
