Ep 171 A Legacy of Truth and Faith with Susan Chamberlain Shipe
Susan is one of my favorites. She's lived life and has seen the mercy and grace of the Lord—a true legacy of faith. Author of over 25 books, Susan Shipe blogs at Hope, Heart, Home and this week she's offering a copy of her latest project: Women: See Us Soar —offering us inspiration and encouragement from stories of women in the Bible as well as women she has known. Leave a comment on instagram, the blog or email me to be entered. (sue @welcomeheart.com)
A self-confessed "bad woman of the Bible" Susan knows that she's loved and forgiven which is the best thing anyone can know. She wants to give others the same hope God has given her through all the up's and down's of living one ordinary life with an extraordinary God.
Some Susan-ism's:
- I never had a moment when I didn't know I was a writer
- I'm an ordinary woman who knows God really has a plan for all of us.
- You wake up every morning talking to the Lord and you never say "Amen"—you just keep talking.
- When everything is said and done, Jesus Christ is the way, the truth and the life
In her own words:
I am an encourager with a heart for women. My devotion-journal, A Pruned Branch, was self-published in 2004 and is a compilation of 365 devotions for womenin all walks of life. APB is full of practical principles for all, from the baby Christian tothe mature believer. I have self-published 25+ books - all can be found on Amazon.
The Lord delivered a message of Hope deep within my soul in 2002. Jesus, the Hope-giver met me in my hour of need and my heart overflowed with hope – the theme of my life since that time has been HOPE!
I am the mother of three adult children, grandmother (a/k/a Mimzy) to two adultgrands, and I am the wife of one man and together we share a love of traveling in our travel trailer with our home base being a tiny house in Upstate South Carolina. I enjoywriting, reading, organic gardening, traveling, and spending time with our family. I can be found musing and sharing at hopehearthome.com.
I love the Lord with every fiber of my being and my life’s purpose is: That I may walk worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing Him, being fruitful in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God. Colossians 1:10 (NKJV)
My life vision is: I have no greater joy than to hear that my children walk in Truth. 3 John 4
